Real work. Real learning. Real career opportunities.

An apprenticeship with us isn't about making the tea - it's about gaining real experience, learning on the job, and building a long-term career. You'll be part of the team from day one, developing skills that matter and earning a recognised qualification as you go.

We offer hands-on, structured apprenticeships across our network - from our busy trade counters to our customer-facing showroom design teams.

What You Can Expect

  • A permanent, paid role from the start
  • A nationally recognised qualification
  • Training and mentoring from experienced colleagues
  • Day-to-day experience in a real working environment
  • Opportunities to progress into full-time roles after completion

  • Develop your customer service and communication skills in real-time
  • Understand how a site operates day to day - from orders to stocktakes
  • Work closely with experienced colleagues across different parts of the team
  • Build the knowledge and confidence to grow - whether that's into sales, warehouse, or even running your own Profit Centre one day

That could be on the sales counter, internal sales, or part of our showroom team - it all depends on where your strengths lie and what you enjoy most during your training. We'll help guide that progression, so you're not just learning a role, you're building a future that fits you.

What Our Apprentices Say

Phoenix Truman
Trade Supplier Level 2
I chose an Apprenticeship because I wanted to start making money and gain practical experience, rather than waste my time with a college course that I wasn't passionate about.
Phoenix Truman
Trade Supplier Level 2
One of the biggest things I've gained is confidence. I've developed real people skills, communication, and customer service, which have helped me both at work and in everyday life.
Phoenix Truman
Trade Supplier Level 2
One of the most unexpected parts has been getting stuck into customer events so quickly- things like horse races, mini golf, and curry nights. I've also built great relationships with not just my team, but suppliers and customers too.
Phoenix Truman
Trade Supplier Level 2
My confidence has grown a lot during the apprenticeship. I was nervous to begin with, but I've learned that the workplace isn't as scary as I thought. I've met great people who are patient and willing to help me learn.

Kieran Bennet
Trade Supplier Level 2
I learn best by being hands-on, taking in more through practical work than visual learning, so an apprenticeship was the perfect route for me. I enjoy being thrown in at the deep end as it's where I learn best.
Kieran Bennet
Trade Supplier Level 2
Product knowledge has been the most challenging but also the most important part of the role. Learning product names and terms is like learning a new language, but once I understood what they were and how they worked, I became much more efficient and confident in my work.
Kieran Bennet
Trade Supplier Level 2
It's been surprising to see how much stock moves in and out of the site, with constant deliveries each day in what first seemed like a small store. I was also given a lot of responsibility early on, which was good as it pushed me to adapt quickly to the working environment.
Kieran Bennet
Trade Supplier Level 2
This apprenticeship has massively changed my confidence for the better. I've gone from following instructions to managing my own workload and I'm even training new staff members!
Kieran Bennet
Trade Supplier Level 2
Give it a go! If you have a positive attitude, willing to learn and get stuck in you will do well. It's a fantastic way to adapt and learn about a true working environment whilst earning a wage. You also meet some amazing people along the way.
Bobby Buchanan
Trade Supplier Level 2
I chose this apprenticeship because it offered me a chance to learn whilst earning as opposed to one or the other, apprenticeships are a great way to build a career from the bottom up
Bobby Buchanan
Trade Supplier Level 2
I've learnt a lot on the job in such a diverse company - customer service, the plumbing and heating industry, networking, and running internal systems. It's boosted my confidence, strengthened my focus on targets, and made me extremely ambitious.
Bobby Buchanan
Trade Supplier Level 2
The most unexpected part has been the trust the company has in me. I expected the usual stereotype - apprentices just doing as they're told - but here it's been different. I was trusted with my ideas and given responsibility early on, and it's changed me for the better.
Bobby Buchanan
Trade Supplier Level 2
This experience has boosted my confidence massively. Being trusted to manage my own sales and contribute to performance has shown me I'm capable and valuable. Getting positive feedback and speaking daily with highly experienced people has changed my mindset - I've learnt that regardless of age or title, your input matters.
Bobby Buchanan
Trade Supplier Level 2
I'd definitely recommend anyone to apply. You're not just making brews, you're contributing to a company that values you and gives back. This apprenticeship builds drive, ambition, and excellent customer service skills. If you're hungry to learn, you can go far in this industry.
Maddie Aird
Fitted Furniture Design Level 3
University wasn't for me and I wasn't interested so I felt that a apprenticeship was the better route for me and I liked the idea of learning and earning at the same time.
Maddie Aird
Fitted Furniture Design Level 3
I have learnt a lot over the course of the year, I feel like my confidence has risen from talking to customers and talking on the phone because at first I was nervous to that didn't Feel like I could do it but over time that has changed and I feel that has made a difference.
Maddie Aird
Fitted Furniture Design Level 3
Probably how much work goes into the business and how much you learn as there is lot to take on and the amount of responsibility you take on at the early stages of the job because as you settle in, you sometimes take on queries from customers that become your priority and your responsibility.
Maddie Aird
Fitted Furniture Design Level 3

Saul House
Trade Supplier Level 2
It's been suprising to learn how many different poducts that we stock. Before starting I wouldn’t have guessed there were so many different brands and items.
Saul House
Trade Supplier Level 2
This experience has made me much more confident as a person, before starting this apprenticeship I found speaking to people I didn't know really difficult. But now that I am doing it every day, it's second nature!
Saul House
Trade Supplier Level 2
I'd definitely recommend this apprenticeship. It's great for building experience in the work place as you'll learn about every aspect of how a business runs.
Tilly Brackett
Fitted Furniture Design Level 3
I chose an apprenticeship because I wanted to get a head start in my career while also gaining a recognised qualification. The Level 3 certificate was a big part of it, but more than that I find learning on the job far more useful than going to university. I can actually see how things work day to day, rather than just reading about it in a book.
Tilly Brackett
Fitted Furniture Design Level 3
The biggest learning has been CAD design software - I had never touched it before and now it's something I use with confidence. I've also learned how a business really runs day to day, from dealing with suppliers to looking after customers. Even just being accountable for my own orders has been a big step forward and shown me how important the details are.
Tilly Brackett
Fitted Furniture Design Level 3
Because I'm constantly learning something new, my confidence has grown a lot. I feel much more comfortable speaking to customers now and I've developed a better understanding of their preferences and how to meet their expectations. It's made me realise I can keep pushing myself and improve every day.
Tilly Brackett
Fitted Furniture Design Level 3
Honestly, just take the leap - what's the worst that can happen? You'll gain skills, experience, and confidence that you wouldn't get anywhere else, and you'll come out of it with qualifications and a career path already started.

All new colleagues will begin their career with a structured induction to provide the key foundations and understanding of our business to ensure they can hit the ground running!

Training and development is a key focus across the business to ensure our teams reach their full potential and can make a valuable contribution to a successful business. These include:

  • Online Training Courses - ‘My Learning’
  • Face to Face Training Courses
  • Apprenticeship Courses

Through online, face to face training and apprenticeships we are able to offer our colleagues a range of product training courses, systems training, management development courses and sales training amongst other development opportunities.

What Our Team Say

Alisha Baxter
Commercial Trainee
I was attracted to the programme because of its focus on advanced sales skills and the chance to connect with like-minded people nationwide. I saw it as a unique opportunity to grow both professionally and personally, enhancing my skills and building a network of peerswith the same ambitions.
Alisha Baxter
Commercial Trainee
My proudest moment was when I moved £50,000 of aged stock in five months, then led a graduate team in relocating a further £60,000 across the country in just four days. It was challenging but rewarding, supporting multiple business units and applying strategies I'd developed to deliver real results.
Charlie Phillips
Commercial Trainee
I was drawn to the business after seeing its success during COVID when others were struggling. Their determination to keep driving business inspired confidence, and from my first interview it was clear everyone believed in the business model and its potential to achieve big things
Charlie Phillips
Commercial Trainee
The training showed me there are many ways to approach sales challenges and workplace issues. I've learned how to handle different buyers, upsell effectively, manage stock, and buy and sell strategically - all of which have been key to my success and boosting profit share.
Charlie Phillips
Commercial Trainee
For anyone considering applying, I'd say take the leap and trust that you have value to add to this growing business. Show your potential and the company will back you - this is a place that truly rewards and appreciates its people.
Georgia Brindle
Commercial Trainee
I've been surprised by how much I enjoy customer interactions at the trade counter and how well I thrive in a people-focused role. More recently, I've started quoting and handling contract work, which I've also found really interesting too.
Georgia Brindle
Commercial Trainee
I'd encourage anyone to apply for the UKPS graduate programme. Even though it's unrelated to my degree, the knowledge and skills I have gained have really helped me grow as a professional individual.
John Craig
Commercial Trainee
I was surprised by the fast progression I experienced. Within a year, I was trusted to manage my own accounts, speak directly with key customers, and get involved in real decision-making. The variety is huge, with no two days the same, and learning across departments has been key to my development.
John Craig
Commercial Trainee
The training gave me a solid foundation in product knowledge and sales techniques, boosting my confidence with customers. Off site workshops and regular feedback sessions improved my strategic thinking and helped me adapt quickly to growing accounts and working with the team.
John Craig
Commercial Trainee
My proudest moment was seeing the outcome of a bathroom I had designed from scratch and supplied during my time in the showroom. With no prior design experience, receiving a 5-star review and photos from a delighted customer was a rewarding and surprising achievement.
Jake Mathot
Commercial Trainee
Once I read into the job description I was sold! I would learn about the plumbing & heating trade and felt the courses and the role heavily highlighted the businesses dedication to career progression. I knew I'd gain vital experience in areas I felt I lacked, and I was keen to be in a more mobile, sales focused role rather than being sat in an office. Even from my first interview, I felt a very welcoming atmosphere.
Jake Mathot
Commercial Trainee
So much as surprised me about the role. I didn't think that such a large business could have so much flexibility, a feeling of togetherness and ease of communication! I've been amazed by everything they have done to support us. I don't think there are many companies that would encourage each site, to treat the staff to things like summer outings and Christmas meals.
Jake Mathot
Commercial Trainee
For anyone thinking of applying, this is a fantastic first step in the industry and sales. Should you show passion and dedication, you will progress in no time as everyone will be behind you to succeed. The most important thing for anyone starting is to gain insight into what everyone in the business does - you'll realise just how valuable each and every role is!
Ben Slater
Business Unit Manager
The confidence I have gained during the programme has massively helped me to progress fast. It pushed me to be more inquisitive and ask the questions I needed to fully understand the role and apply my training.
Ben Slater
Business Unit Manager
My proudest moment was definitely being promoted Business Unit Manager after working as an assistant manager in a challenging location. It showed the companies trust in me and that they were willing to back me and give me the opportunity to take on full responsibility.
Ben Slater
Business Unit Manager
If you're thinking of applying, then definitely go for it. The business fully supports your progression and the skills you gain from the role are vast and stay with you forever. There is a reason why no one ever leave this industry!
Alex Shannon
Business Unit Manager
After finishing university, I knew I wanted to pursue a career in sales, but I lacked direct experience in the field. What really attracted me to the programme was its clear structure and the significant investment the company makes in developing its people. The opportunity to build a strong foundation in sales, while also being supported in my long-term career growth made the business the only option for me.
Alex Shannon
Business Unit Manager
The most surprising part has been the people I interact with every day. Everyone is so down to earth, supportive, and genuinely collaborative. I never expected to build such strong, meaningful relationships in a sales-based role - the trust and rapport I've developed with others has been one of the most rewarding aspects of the job.
Alex Shannon
Business Unit Manager
The first few months were definitely challenging, and I lacked confidence at times. I remember driving home one day and reflecting on the sales that wouldn't have happened without my efforts - that moment really hit me as a personal win and gave me the confidence boost I needed. My proudest moment was being offered the role of Business Unit Manager. It felt like a clear recognition of the hard work and growth I'd put in since starting the programme.
Kate Richardson
Showroom Manager
After university I was eager to continue learning and developing my skills. I have always been drawn to working within a sales-based role with the long-term goals of being a manager. So, when I was presented with the opportunity to start a job that not only feeds my creativity but also gave me the opportunity to develop brand new skills it was a no brainer for me.
Kate Richardson
Showroom Manager
For me I think the most surprising part about role is how much opportunity there is to try new things and put new ideas forward. It's given my role a lot of freedom and keeps the role exciting as there is always more I could be doing or trying.
Kate Richardson
Showroom Manager
My proudest moment came after a year redesigning the showroom and building relationships. I targeted Warrington's largest bathroom installer, then buying from a competitor. Several meetings later, they moved their business to us, significantly boosting showroom sales. It was a perfect test of everything I'd learned on the programme.
Kate Richardson
Showroom Manager
I would definitely encourage applying. Whether your role becomes showroom manager, BDM, warehouse management or business unit manager, all the skills within programme are transferable and apply in every aspect of any business. It is something that will develop your career in both the short and long term.
Lewis Robinson
Business Development Manager
I was most surprised by how fast everything moves. You're not waiting around - you're expected to get stuck in, figure things out, and take responsibility early. It's been a challenge, but I've learned loads by being exposed to real situations.
Lewis Robinson
Business Development Manager
The training gave me the tools to actually understand the "why" behind what we do. Before, I was focused on doing the task. Now, I'm thinking more about how decisions affect margin, stock, and the bigger picture. It's changed how I work, day to day.
Joe Aspley-Cave
Commercial Trainee
The speed of progression and level of responsibility here has been the most surprising part. I've been able to grow, develop, and work across different areas without feeling siloed. The company invests heavily in training and development — more than anywhere else I've worked.
Joe Aspley-Cave
Commercial Trainee
My proudest moment was selling a £12K VCAC unit to a customer I'd brought into the business myself. It was a tricky non-stock item from a new supplier, but seeing it installed, with a happy customer and strong profit made, was incredibly satisfying.
